2.Ethpattiya domain
Badulla Kataragama footpath has fallen in the middle of this village and it has been a custom to take elephants through this road. In order to relieve the fatigue of the elephants being carried, the elephants are parked in the middle of the village.
3.Dambagahawela domain
In the past, there was a mango tree in a big paddy field. Therefore, the legend says that the place where the mango tree was was named as Dambagahawela.
4.Dewathura domain
Villagers say that in the past, the god used to sit on a big tree. Accordingly, it is said that the god came to be known as Dewathura.
5.Miyanakandura domain
Legend has it that meena plants were abundant around the mountains and thus Meena Kadukhara was later used as Miyanakandura.
6.Ranugalla domain
During the era of fighting in the Randenigala field, two enemy forces met each other and fierce battles took place at the foot of a big rock.
7.Hingurukaduwa domain
After a war with the Tamils, King Dutugemunu threw the sword he had in his hand and it fell on a bagasse called Hinguru in this village. The royal men in that village found this sword on a tree called Hinguru. Legend has it that it got the name.
8.Ella domain
This area got the name Ella due to the abundance of water and water inches and they were small waterfalls.
9.Kotamuduna domain
An image of a tiger was carved on a large rock and the area was known as Kotamuduna.

14.Karandagama domain
King Dutugemunu took the leaves of a karada tree from this area as a medicine while going to Dummalathanna Wehera Badi plain and Pothubamma from Kataragama through Rajaveediya.
15.Karavila domain
When a farmer was plowing, his plow and cattle sank under the ground and a bubble of water emerged from that place and a golden gourd fruit emerged from it. Therefore, the name of Karavila has become popular in this area.
16.Thalawagama domain
The village was born in the area where Manang Talawa was in the past and the area later became known as Thalawagama.
17.Badalkumbuira domain
Legend has it that a rice paddy in this area was called Badal Kumbura because a type of rice called Badal was cultivated.
18.Madamagama domain
The place where King Dutugemunu stayed on the road for military activities during the war was called Madama. Later, the village was born at that place and became known as Madamagama.
19.Maligathenna domain
In the days of King Parakrama, a palace was located in a plain area and hence the area was known as Maligathenna.
20.Wekumbura domain
This village got its name because three families descended from the name of Gallaba Mudiansela. Moreover, the ancients believe that the village named Galgoda was later called Gallaba because there were stones here and there.
21.Alupotha domain
In the past, a Muslim leader has died in this area claiming to be traveling a little. His relatives thought that Alapakata was the name of a village. Later that area was named Alupota.An ancient valuable book was burnt and destroyed by the enemies of King Parakramabhahu. Later it is said that it was small.
22.Therappahuwa domain
Among the ten great giants, the giant called Theraputthabhaya lived in this area. The stone pillars and stone caves in the ancient Rajamaha Vihara of Therappahuwa bear witness to this. In memory of the rock where Theraputthabhaya was said to have been based on the legends associated with this giant, the cave where Theraputthabhaya stood is currently used as Therappahuwa. It is revealed from historical documents that this giant later became a monk in this monastery.
23.Pussellawa domain
According to legend, the name Pussellawa was derived from the death of an elephant after eating pusvelak, which did not separate from the stomach.
24.Madukotanarawa domain
It was known as Madukotanarawa because it consisted of a large number of madu trees and the fields were harvested by cutting those trees and using them to make an anvil.
25.Madugamulla domain
There was a Madugamulla in a corner (corner) connecting Suriyagasella, Gatellalla and Ambalanthana hills. The village was born at that place and was named as Madugasmulla.
26.Yakurawa domain
This area is believed to have been inhabited by demons in the past. Kumburu Yaya is known as villager array. The array in which the demons were located was known as the Yak array and in later times as the Yakura.
27.Wasipana domain
It is said that during the Ankeli Pooja held in Udagangoda area, a piece of horn was scattered from it, so the place where it was thrown became Visipona and later the name became Wasipana.
28.Eththalamulla domain
During the reign of King Walagamba, the area where the king's elephants were kept was known as Athgalamulla and later on it gradually evolved to be named as Ethalamulla.
29.Katugahagalge domain
It is said that when King Walagamba was defeated in the war and hiding in the forest, he built a temple and the inscriptions there exist in the legend. It is said that there was a large thorn bush on a stone cave built inside the temple and hence the name Katugahagalge was used.
30.Madugahapattiya domain
Badalkumbura Parakumbarama temple has a large number of cattle and these cattle were kept in an area where maduga trees were abundant. The village was named Madugahapattiya after the birth of that place.
31.Mailagasthenna domain
The type of tree called Maila was spread in the plains. The village was built in that area and it was called Mailagasthanna.
32.Meegahayaya domain
In the village book Vellasse Gam Puranaya, it is mentioned that there were a large number of trees in this area where buffaloes were tied and hence the name Meegahaya was given to this area.
33.Muthukeliyawa domain
Because of the natural resources of pearls here, on the day of the King's Day, the princes and ministers would sit on a stone bark in the Menik Ganga and engage in the pearl game, in the past as well as the present.
34.Athala domain
During the war, King Dutugemunu saw blood on his hand and said it was blood. Later, the area was named Atala.
35.Kaliwessa domain
During the time of the Sinhalese king, this village was known as Keli Vissa because there were twenty industries associated with it.
36.Naranwatta domain
This village is known as Naranwatta because of its abundance of naran trees.
37.Punsisigama domain
In 1992, a village was named as a village created through Gamudawa.
38.Bogahapalassa domain
Due to the presence of bogus yayak, it has been used as bogahapalassa.
39.Moratuwagama domain
The Moratuwagama domain got this name because there is a hillock shaped like a mottuwa located in the mountain range above the Moratuwagama village and Mailahinna village, so it was called Moratuwagama and later on it got the name Moratuwagama.
40.Lunugala colony domain
In the past, the caravan route from Buttala to Pasara used to pass through the Kalani domain and the Moratuugama domain along the Wal Mee Talawa. The cave at the foot of the limestone hill was used as a temporary stop on the way to the Passara region and the upper mountains during the time when goods were transported by caravans. According to this opinion, the village got the name Lunugala from the limestone rock and according to another opinion, salt was transported by caravans. Because of this, this shelter got the name Lunugala.
